Chris and Kim LaRue are a husband and wife team.

We started Speckled Rabbit Woodworks because of our love for true Artistry. Since we don’t argue enough, we thought building our business from the ground up was a good way to perfect this!

Being in the hardwood flooring business for over thirty years, Chris knows a thing or two about wood. Looking for a hobby led him to making Cutting Boards, which led to a passion he didn’t know existed. He is a true Artisan!

Kim has been in retail for over fifteen years, and understands people relations and good quality merchandise. She loves traveling to Shows, decorating our Booth, and helping our customers find the perfect board. Her passion is spending time with Chris!

Being from Kentucky, it was important to us to have locally sourced wood to bring integrity to our boards. Chris goes above and beyond when it comes to making each board one of a kind. He takes pride in each piece he makes.

Speckled Rabbit Woodworks is named for our pet rabbit, Luna, who was with us when we started our business. People understand the relationship between humans and pets, and it is why each of our unique boards are named after breeds of rabbit.
